Yorkshire Terrier is a lovable and spunky toy
breed. Yorkies tend to be more intelligent then many other toy breeds but their
willful attitude can make training more difficult. All Yorkies are born black
and tan as puppies and usually lighten up to a beautiful blue and gold, silver and gold, blue and tan, or silver and tan. Some do remain black and tan or black and gold as adults as well. Their
long and silky coats will need extensive grooming to maintain their length. A
shorter puppy cut will reduce the intensity of grooming required.This breed has a long tradition of
companionship and being carried around in wealthy women’s purses.Their average life span is 12 to 15 years.
