The French Bulldog is a small breed growing up to 28 pounds full-grown.  Good natured and quiet, this breed is often considered a good choice for the elderly. Their devoted personalities need affection from their human owner and ignoring them will leave them distraught. Frenchies are devoted, sweet, and clean making for a wonderful pet companion.  Their coat is short and smooth leaving grooming a breeze. Frenchies are best with older children who are cable of placing dominance over a dog. Without firm yet kind guidance from their owners a Frenchie can become willful and disobedient.   Their average life span is between 10 to 12 years.
