Border Collie Puppies for Sale

Perhaps the most intelligent breed of dog, Border Collies are quick to learn and easily trained. Good for families with children, this breed will keep a watching eye on the kids as they play in the yard. They are happiest when there is a job to perfom such as keeping the squirrels out of the yard or some type of obedience training/agility work. Although good with families, this breed is recommended for older children. Border Collies intelligence can be a challenge for younger inexperienced trainers. The herding heritage may lay way to nipping and other “herding” behavior. This will create a situation where the child is ruled by the dog if the dog is not properly reprimanded. We recommend the breed for older children or a family that can provide proper supervision during the training period.
